If you come to the Dominican Republic and want to venture beyond Punta Cana, I recommend it 100%. With its crystal-clear waters and white sand, it is an ideal destination for those seeking a pure connection with nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to disconnect from everything, this is the beach you are looking for. There are a couple of beachfront hotels just outside the park, so you will be very close to Bah\u00eda de las \u00c1guilas, which is a protected area. These hotels offer the concept of \"Glam Camping,\" a highly recommended experience and a must if you like adventure with comfort like me. It is a perfect place to enjoy both the sea and a refreshing bath in the river. Although we are not discussing rivers in this article, remember that the country is full of them, and it is also an experience you must have if you visit us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This beach has the peculiarity of having pebbles instead of sand. The first time I visited, it was something that caught my attention powerfully. If you enter the sea, be careful as it can have strong waves, so most visitors enjoy the river more.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the south of the Dominican Republic is less developed than the rest of the country, I truly believe it is a place worth visiting, and it can easily enchant you as it did me. These regions are perfect for outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, and rafting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I had the opportunity to live in Jarabacoa for three years, and I can't express how beautiful and tranquil it is. It has beautiful riverside hotels, mainly adventure activities, and a cool climate most of the year. The general atmosphere is relaxed, and everyone is super friendly. The Colonial City, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is home to over 300 historical monuments, including the first cathedral and the first hospital in the Americas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Santo Domingo is the most chaotic city in the Dominican Republic, but it strangely has its charm in that chaos. Now I miss being stuck in traffic (just kidding). I also lived in Santo Domingo for about two years, and I truly miss it, especially the Colonial Zone, as I tend to be the kind of person who wonders about the history and events that happened in those beautiful buildings. Merengue and bachata, recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, are the rhythms that animate every party and celebration in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Music is another thing I adore about the Dominican Republic. A Dominican can be broke and depressed, but at the sound of the first bachata, they forget and start to enjoy.
